Funding Due Diligence
We act for numerous funders from High Street senior debt providers to niche mezzanine funds and private investors. We tailor our reports to suit the Client’s respective risk profile.
Prior to funding, Naismiths review the development proposals to ascertain the project viability mainly from a construction point of view providing essential advice on cost procurement, programme and security documentation. At all times we work in conjunction with the fund’s other appointed agents and in particular Valuers and Solicitors.
We understand the funders primary goal is the optimum performance of the development finance. However, we recognise development is complicated due to the vast number of variables associated with the construction industry.
Our involvement continues throughout the development’s life performing a monitoring role on behalf of the fund with a primary role of appraising certified drawdowns whilst protecting the funds secured status.
This involves an overview of the performance of the development as a whole including cost management, tracking compliance with all statutory consents.
